The software
The Chow app is free software under the GNU AGPL-3.0. That license governs your use of its code. These terms govern the sync service run by EnduraByte LLC.
What you agree to
- Comply with laws - You will not use Chow for purposes such as supporting oppression, terrorism, or other harmful activities.
- Not medical advice - Chow records what you tell it. Nutrition data may be wrong. Consult a professional before making decisions about your health.
- Fair use - You will stay within the sync service's published rate limits and will not resell access to it.
- Accept limitations of liability - You agree to indemnify and hold harmless EnduraByte LLC from any claims arising from your use of Chow. Our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
- Arbitration - You waive your right to a court trial in favor of arbitration through a legal entity or process of our choosing.
Subscriptions
- A subscription renews automatically until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time through Stripe's customer portal, or you can ask us to cancel for you.
- After you cancel, sync stops working. Your synced entries stay readable and exportable.
- We refund your payment in full within 30 days of purchase, no questions asked.
- If you resume service, sync will work again.
What we agree to
- Fair treatment - We will treat you with fairness, respect, and integrity in all interactions.
- Quality - We will provide quality software that meets your expectations.
- Your data is yours - Your diary files work without an account, for free, forever.
- Notice - If we ever shut down the sync service, we will give you 30 days' notice so you can export your diary.
